New to southwestern Virginia, Jeanine transforms natural and found objects to create unique art for both outdoor and indoor spaces in a style she's named 'Farm Art'!
|
Originally from the small rural town of Davison, MI, Jeanine came to settle in Elk Creek, VA after 21 years in Charleston, SC. In search of a new "farm life" lifestyle, she and her longtime sweetheart, Jesse, stumbled upon Galax one day and fell in love with the area. They now have a property in Elk Creek where they are restoring a 100+ year old farmhouse and outbuildings in order to create a wedding and music event venue.
With a degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University and a background in watercolor and acrylics, her restoration work has given her a new passion for antiques and deep appreciation for the intrinsic beauty in old rusty, forgotten and often discarded materials, which she uses to create her one-of-a-kind art pieces. |
