Karen creates unique felted products such as purses, vests, jackets, and hats with alpaca, wool and other fibers. She also makes jewelry, scarves and wire work pieces. She also prints silk scarves in a unique process using men's neckties. Everything she makes is a one of a kind creation.
She has a BS degree in Fashion Design and worked as a costume designer in Atlanta, GA for five years. She has been felting for more than 20 years and loves the medium. She's also an instructor in the Fiber Department of Chestnut Creek School of the Arts in Galax, VA.
