Robert Lazo is a prolific Sunday painter, whose day job is as a family physician. His brightly colored landscapes are rendered in oil, of late mostly on small 6” x 8” panels, which he puts in gold plein air frames.   This fall and winter, he has been painting with a palette knife, which he picked up in a small thrift shop on Oak Island, North Carolina last summer. He says he thinks he will never go back to using a brush!
